Park Run

A total of 24 Park Run sites are now up and running throughout the length and breath of Ireland. Park Run encourages everyone from the novice walker/jogger to the more fine tuned runner. These 5km timed events take place every Saturday morning of the year - just register for free and bring along your printed bar-code. An Post Cycle Series

The An Post Cycle Series, supported by An Post and the Irish Sports Council, encourages communities around the country to get on their bikes. Family routes are approx 10kms, while short, medium and long distance routes are apprx 60kms, 100kms, and 160kms. The series hosts one event around the country each month between May and September.

Active School Week 2015

From April 27th to May 1st the Department of Education & Skills and Healthy Ireland encourage ALL schools to organise an Active School Week (ASW) as part of their annual school calendar. The ASW initiative is about providing FUN and INCLUSIVE physical activity opportunities for ALL members of the school community.
